The Snare is a trap that lots of Canadian outdoors-men and women use for harvesting yummy snowshoe hare meat. What this trap is made of is a piece of snare wire with a tiny loop bent into the end. then you pass the other end of the wire into that tiny loop and make a choking loop about the size of your fist.

To set the snare your'e going to want to attach the snare with the end that doesn't have the loop to a branch and place the branch in a thick bushed area into a clear trail of the Rabbit. Be sure that the larger loop (the one about the size of your fist) off the ground. The perfect height is when you can just barely fit your hand with your'e mitten on, and the snow is just being disturbed barely.

This trap is a humane way of catching and harvesting the animal for it's mild and game-y taste, as well as an easy and fun way to get out in the winter and get some exercise, whip out the old snow shoes.
